Delivering the Right System

We will help you determine the best system for your facility – Product Based or Infill Based. Regardless of the system you can be assured that your field is made form the highest quality components and installed with the most precision possible.

Specialty Logos, Inlaid Designs, and Lines

Whether you want your school’s name in the end zone and mascot at midfield, or need unique markers and lines for a specialized training facility, if you can imagine it we can produce it. With SportsGrass, you aren’t limited to a standard set of lines and designs.

Infill Options

While we prefer and recommend rubber for infill, we also understand that certain applications require different mediums. We can work with you to determine and provide the right infill in the right amount for your project. Due to our superior backing system, our product requires less infill, which reduces infill fly-out for a cleaner playing surface. Add just what you need for safety and performance.

Underlayment Options

Pads under turf are all the rage right now. If you want a pad, we have those too. We offer our own unique pad for fields called SafetySport, or we work with any number of other pads on the market. But before you go running out and just buy a pad, make sure you need one. Our systems are focused on safety and performance, and most of our systems provide the safety you need, without sacrificing performance. Antimicrobial Action

You play hard, you sweat hard. Spills and sickness happen. While these things are part of the game, you can inhibit the growth of bacteria when you add antimicrobial properties to your turf. And as SportsGrass blades undergo natural wear, more antimicrobial action is released.

Antistatic Technology

Some surfaces build up static, which is annoying when players get shocked and may interfere with cochlear implants or other electronic devices. SportsGrass is the only turf on the market with the option to build XStatic™ antistatic technology into the blades.

Custom Solutions Case Studies

Norton High School—Custom Pile Height

Norton High School had played on a natural grass field previously. They battled issues of mud, dead and burnt out grass, and an uneven playing surface that caused concern for players’ safety. They wanted all-weather turf to address these issues, but also realized the importance of choosing a high-quality product from a local company.

While they loved the SportsGrass Edge XP product, they wanted a slightly taller pile height. The SportsGrass team worked with Norton by providing samples of the product at alternate pile heights. Norton selected the product that matched their desires, and a new product was born—SportsGrass Edge XPL. With this custom solution, Norton was able to accomplish all they had set out to do. The Norton High School field is arguably the finest field in all of Summit County and likely all of Northeast Ohio. Even four seasons later, it looks and performs better than most brand new fields. Their decision to choose quality is paying off, and the proof is in the field.

Tallahassee—Short Pile, Less Infill, Antistatic

The ForeverLawn Emerald Coast team worked with SportsGrass to create a new product for the Tallahassee field. Not only did the SportsGrass team add the XStatic product to the Edge XP product, the city also wanted a shorter pile product with less infill. The result? Edge XPS with antistatic—a custom product to meet the needs of the customer.

The finished system used a shock pad, the shorter pile Edge XPS with the antistatic, and Envirofill infill from US Greentech. The result? A beautiful field that plays well, looks great, and is safe for all the patrons of the park.

Salem Community Center—Rubber Infill Alternative

Enter ForeverLawn Penn-Ohio and the SportsGrass team. SportsGrass Edge XP is an incredibly durable, great performing product that is built on the premium backing platform. The construction of the product with the nylon thatch requires less infill and stabilizes the infill that is used. This greatly reduces the infill fly-out and migration issues.

Still, the Salem Community Center wanted to try a different infill option. The SportsGrass team suggested Envirofill from US Greentech as a good alternative to rubber fill. Additionally, the SportsGrass team uses an amazing piece of equipment called the Sandmatic to evenly apply the infill and groom the field, leaving a perfectly smooth, level finish.

The Salem Community Center couldn’t be happier with the end result. A first-class indoor playing field, no more infill fly-out, and a cleaner, nicer facility as a result.
